Kilimanjaro mount up Lemosho Route could be a premium trek designed for six, seven or eight days. Climbing through totally different climate zones it starts on heaths and winds more across alpine meadows to ascend to the Arctic Zone close to Uhuru Peak.
The descent, in turn, passes through rainforest.
All this makes this route the foremost scenic on Kilimanjaro.
Lemosho Route offers the smoothest adaptation and therefore the highest success rates of 85%, 90% and 95% for 6, 7 and 8-day programs, respectively.
The total distance covered on Lemosho Route is 46 kilometers (28.5 miles). We recommend this trail for those ready to pay a bit extra for high-altitude drop off by a vehicle. The best views on the mountain and increased chances of successful summiting come free of charge.
